AI Ethics

Last updated March 28, 2026.

InnoViate uses AI for training only. It does not replace instructors, examiners, or operational air traffic services.

Scope

The product is designed for training use only.

Where AI is used

  • Session setup: scenario and practice context.
  • RT Lab: simulated ATC interaction.
  • Debriefs: transcripts, scoring, and observations.

Where AI is not the authority

  • Not operational ATC: not for live flight use.
  • Not a navigation source: not an EFB, charting, or dispatch tool.
  • Not instructor sign-off: final decisions remain with instructors and admins.
  • Not a source of truth: outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, or poorly timed.

System constraints

  • Phraseology and readback evaluation are tied to defined doctrine and training references rather than presented as freeform model judgement.
  • The system does not invent operational authority.
  • If grounding is uncertain, the preferred behavior is to defer, stay narrow, or ask for clarification rather than invent unsupported details.
  • Training scenarios may simplify or bound realism.

Coverage

Current scope is FAA-focused within the United States. Global coverage is not claimed.

Accountability

Reported or detected unsafe or misleading outputs are reviewed, and prompts, controls, or boundaries are adjusted as needed. Report issues: hello@innoviate.ai.
